I became a financial advisor to help people, taking everything I learned about helping corporations to make money and using that to help real people with their money instead. I am a fee-based, independent advisor with Gateway Financial partners in Glastonbury, CT. I work mainly with individuals in their 40's and 50's, helping them to grow their investments, protect their family with wills and insurance, and lay out plans for college and retirement.
I started my career in 1995 as an actuary, working for Cigna in Bloomfield, CT. I passed all of the exams to become an FSA (Fellow of the Society of Actuaries) in 2000. I met my first fee-based advisor in
I left Cigna for Aetna in 2010 to see if the grass was any greener, becoming the CFO of their Life, Disability and Long-Term Care businesses. I soon determined that it was time to use everything I had learned about making money for the corporation and to apply this to helping individuals and families instead, so I started preparing for the career change which led to me moving to Gateway in 2014.
I have my Series 7 registration which allows me to trade stocks and bonds, my Series 66 which allows me to provide fee-based investment
